| Suki |
| Meet Suki, wonder-dog extraordinaire! She came to SFASHS after being hit by a car, unable to use her back legs. But this 6 year old beauty did not let that stop her. With TLC from the Shelter and the wonderful Sue Kelvey at Bounce Back Integrative Veterinary Rehabilitation (Bouncebackvetrehab.com) she can walk and is getting stronger with every visit! So far she has gone to Bounce Back twice, with her last visit on 05/01/13. Right now she is getting acupuncture which she loves! As well as hydrotherapy and she is doing great with sit/stands to help build muscle tone, which has improved already by her second visit! Come meet Suki and fall in love with this special, gentle-hearted girl. She also gets along with other dogs and is generally pretty polite! So if you think she would be a good fit, please consider her! |

| Sky |
| Every animal at our shelter comes to us from his or her own unique circumstances, and this inspirational little lady is no exception. Meet Sky, a wonderful 5 year old, white and grey, domestic shorthair kitty with a very touching story. Sky recently became blind and is currently learning to cope with her surroundings in a new way. The people and places that used to be familiar are difficult to recognize now. Where she used to feel confident within her environment, she is now unsure. Sky is looking for a very loving and patient new family to take her home and reassure her that everything is going to be ok! If you’re ready to begin a rewarding friendship and become a hero to this special girl, please come in to meet her! |

| FROGURT IS THE BEST! |
| Bike raffle brings in Shelter support |
|
David and Pattie Christianson, owners of Frogurt Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt, 2801 Rodeo Road, Suite B-11 in the Rodeo Plaza, raised $340 in a bicycle raffle Friday in support of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. Pattie Christianson said her family recently adopted a dog and brought him to the clinic for altering. The experience was so wonderful, she said, that she and David wanted to do something to help and came up with the idea of a raffle to support our work. Visit their website at www.frogurt-nm.com. Thank you for thinking of the homeless animals, Frogurt! Check back for photos of the lucky raffle winners! |
